Estuary has released several updates to its PostgreSQL change data capture (CDC) connector. A new Additional Backfill Filter lets users apply a SQL expression to backfill queries, reducing the amount of data re‑read for recovery or re‑backfill of a subset of a large table. Discovery controls allow captures to include or exclude specific schemas, use glob‑based table patterns, and discover tables not yet in the PostgreSQL publication; metadata discovery is processed in smaller groups for reliability. Captures can now configure the rediscovery interval, defaulting to 15 minutes, to balance schema‑change detection latency with catalog‑query activity. The connector uses logical replication to capture inserts, updates, and deletes, and can perform an initial backfill of existing data before transitioning to ongoing CDC. It supports PostgreSQL 10.0 and later on self‑hosted and managed services.

For Pramadya customers implementing data integration solutions, these enhancements improve handling of large PostgreSQL environments. Targeted backfills reduce data volume and recovery time, while discovery filters enable selective pipeline construction, avoiding unnecessary load. Configurable rediscovery gives operators control over schema‑change detection, supporting agile environments. Together, the features increase reliability, scalability, and operational flexibility, aligning with Pramadya’s focus on robust system integration and ERP connectivity.
